Necrits: Favoring dry and dark places, these small creatures can be easily identified by their hoarse, gravelly chattering. From a distance it almost sounds like human speech, but when they draw near it becomes abundantly clear these creatures are no more capable of speech than a housecat. Though they stand no more than two feet tall, bodies covered in mottled, sickly grey skin and they have no arms, their legs end in wickedly clawed feet built to slash viciously through flesh. They have no ears and no nose, and no fur or hair on their malformed bodies. Their eyes, wide and yellow, take up most of the space in their round heads. Broad mouths, full of long scissoring teeth, are their primary weapons. They hunt in groups of three or four, seeking weak prey and surrounding it before attacking.

They are remarkably sensitive to light, even the weak beam of a flashlight. Though their skin is thick and tough, offering protection from blades, their bones are weak and snap easily under pressure or a strong blow.

Ranarks: In the damp and dank, the ranarks dwell. Reaching sizes comparable to a small bear, these grotesque, froglike creatures keep close to water. Clouded eyes sit on top of their heads, granting them panoramic vision. Spanning nearly the circumference of their heads, and their mouths open to reveal jagged teeth not seen on any amphibian. They move slowly if at all, the weight of their bloated, pustule covered bodies too strenuous for their weak legs. But with their tongues, seven feet long and thick as a man’s arm, they have no need to chase their prey.

Their skin is quite delicate, their bodies fragile, and without their eyesight they are helpless. ...Unfortunately, they tend to multiply quite quickly...

Leftovers: Of all the creatures lurking in the hospital, these are oftentimes the most horrific. Cobbled together messily from the remains of the hospital's other monsters, there is no rhyme or reason to the anatomy of these creatures. Multiple heads are randomly slopped on their malformed and patchwork bodies, and their limbs and joints fall haphazardly, helter-skelter. They stalk through the dark of long corridors, bodies hunched, movement jerky and disjointed.

There is no one way to fight them, as they are all thrown together so differently. Luck and strength are the best bet against these poor, deformed creatures.

Mimics: It's a rare thing to see the true face of these creatures. Mimics have no true face, no true voice. They look into the minds of their victims and take the face of those familiar - both within the intstitute and from home. Speaking with the voice of their chosen form, moving in a perfect mimicry, these creatures lure their victims in close before feeding. Teeth elongate to something akin to a shark, row upon row of jagged fangs, before feasting on hapless flesh. The only warning is a chilling scream before the true nature is revealed. They are found everywhere.

Mirabis: Skeletons draped in the last vestiges of human flesh, scarps of meat and muscle hanging from pollution-greened bones, organs clinging desperately to rotting frames of bone. But the teeth, oh the teeth! Only a few remain in the gaping mouths, wicked and pointed and stained with remnants of blood. These creatures live within the mirrors of the institute, behind glass. Beware glancing at your reflection, it is the mirabis you'll see instead. And they don't always stay safely behind glass....
